Hon. Council
City of St. Paul
Dear Council Members:
CApital 4 -4612 Ext. 361
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on
this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property
known as 651 DeSoto Street, described as South 15 feet of Lot
5, North 23 1/3 feet of Lot 4, Block 10, Warren & Winslowts
Addition to Town of St. Paul. This property is owned by
Luigi and Rose Gagliardi, 651 DeSoto Street, St. Paul 1, and
a copy of the proceedings was mailed to Patrick Gaglierde,
715 Burr Street, St. Paul 1.
In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the
City Council:
C.F. 197645, adopted by the•Council June 21, 1960, published
June 25, 1960, set a public hearing at 10 A.M. July 15, 1960.
C.F. 198119, adopted by the Council July 20, 1960, published
July 239 1960, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate
cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in
control thereof.
C.F. 198465, adopted by the Council August 12, 1960, published
August 20, 1960; directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recre-
ation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck
and remove the two story frame•barn thereon, and do any and
all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb,
and adjoining property.
C.F. 199548, adopted by the Council November 4, 1960, published
November 12, 1960, provided that the wrecking expense of $330.00
and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation and Public
Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of
$67.44, making a total of $-397.44, be paid out of Wrecking Con-
demned Buildings, 31 G 22, and, in the event said sum proves
collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to 31 G 2

The barn has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a register-
ed bill mailed to the owners.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten
days' notice to consider any complaints about the expenses
incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution
confirming the expense should end with a directive to the
City Clerk to file a statement of expense for the purpose
of securing a lien on the property.
