NHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during
the period from October 30th through December 3, 1960 which rendered necessary the
employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums
and Stadia.. Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours
per week in doing the following works
Operate ventilating systems, PBX Switchboard and supervise work during
various activities held in the building including hockey, concerts, road
shows, convention meetings, etc.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
No other trained help available to work during above attractions held in
the building, this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and-Holidays.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay
the 2zlixigim emplpyees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the
Council) s Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
