PAUL COUNCIL NO . a NCIL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C RY C RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONER-J- DATE WHEREAS, the City Architect has requested the City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a danger- ous structure at 371 Iglehart Avenue, more particularly describ- ed as Lot 9, Block 3, Grace's Addition to St. Paul; and WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owner of the property is C. E. Keegan, Minneapolis Savings & Loan Associa- tion, 2 East Fourth Street, Saint Paul and copies of proceedings herein having been sent to Arthur K. Wurdemann, 838 Laurel Avenue, Saint Paul 4; Cecelia Pawelczyk Miiewski and Sigmund Milewski, 371 Iglehart Avenue; Saint Paul 3; Mrs. Rose Hoffineister, 625 South Cleveland Avenue, Saint Paul 16; Gerald J. Spangler, % 399 Iglehart Avenue, Saint Paul,3; Hjelm Bros. Investment Co., 106 North Smith Avenue, Saint Paul 2; and Mr. Bialich, 525 Plymouth Building, Minneapolis; therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hold a public hearing in the Council Chamber at ten o�-clock A.M. on the 22nd day of December 1960 to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the record owner `o,f .,the property in question at the last known address, as well `as other interested persons of record. Council City of Saint Paul Dear Council Members: A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this date for -the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as 371 Iglehart Avenue, described as Lot 9, Block 3, Grace's Addition to Saint Paul. This property is owned by: C. E. Keegan, Mpls. Savings & Loan, 2 E. Fourth St., St. Paul Arthur K. Wurdemann, 838 Laurel Ave., St. Paul 4 Cecelia Pawelczyk Milewski & Sigmund Milewski, 371 Iglehart Ave., St. Paul 3 Mrs. Rose Hoffineister, 625 S. Cleveland Ave., St. Paul 16 Gerald J. Smith Ave., St. Paul 2 Mr. Bialich, 525 Plymouth Bldg., Minneapolis In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council: C.F. 195339, adopted by the Council March 18, 1960, published March 26, 1960,set a public hearing at 10 A. M. April 12, 1960. C.F. 196724, adopted by the Council April 14, 1960, published April 16, 1960, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and ex- penseiof the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. C.F. 197088, adopted by the Council May 11, 1960, published June • 4, 1960, directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the three story frame 7- apartment building thereon, and do any and all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and ad- joining property. C.F. 197979, adopted by the Council July 12, 1960, published July 16, 1960, approved the award of the contract for wrecking to Patsy Wrecking Co. for the sum of $927.00 in accordance with speci- fications and Informal Bid No. 1607. ##2 C.F. 199752, adopted by the Council November 22, 1960, published November 26, 1960, provided that the wrecking expense of $927.00 and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of $83.24, making a total of $1,010.24, be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Buildings account of the General Fund, 31 G 22, and, in the efent said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to 31 G 22. The building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a registered bill mailed to the owners,. We are requesting that notice to consider any and to confirm the amo the expense should end a statement of expense property.
