Council City of Saint Paul Dear Council Members: A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on this date for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known as 448 Charles Street, described as Except East 10 feet Lot 58, Block 15, Smith's Subdivision of Stinson's Division of NW 1/4 of Section 36, Township 29, Range 23. This property is owned by Mabel Beetsch, 448 Charles Street, St. Paul 3, Minnesota. In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the City Council: C.F. 195772, adopted by the Council February 10, 1960, published February 13, 1960, set a public hearing at 10 A.M. March 3, 1960. C.F. 196151, adopted by the Council March 8, 1960, published March 12, 1960, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost and expense'of the owner, occupant, or other person in control thereof. C.F. 196514, adopted by the Council April 1, 1960, published April 9, 1960, directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the shed thereon, and do any and all things therein necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining property. C.F. 197201, adopted by the Council May 18, 1960, published May 21, 1960, approved the specifications prepared by this office for the wrecking of this shed and authorized the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids. C.F. 199751, adopted by the Council November 22, 1960, published November 26, 1960, provided that the wrecking expense of $75.00 and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of $33.85, making a total of $133.85 be paid out of Wrecking Condemn-1 ed Buildings Account of General Fund, 31 G 22, and, in the event said sum proves collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to 31 G 22, Pg. 2 This building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a register- ed bill mailed to the owners. We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days' notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution confirming the expense should end with a directive to the City Clerk to file a statement of expense for the purpose of securing a lien on the property. Yours truly, Alfa d H.
