PMLVM, that Phillips Petroleum Company be granted Aermit to
install a 11000 - gallon underground gasoline storage tank and one
pump for private use by McPhillips Sheet Metal and Roofing Company,
the owner of the property, on the premises designated as Lot 5,
Block 166, Robertson's Addition, located at the northwest corner of
Wabasha Street and Chicago Avenue, in this -City, in accordance With
plans filed October 20, 1960,.and recommendations of the Fire
Prevention Bureau, .among other things, with a set -back of not less
than 10 feet from the front private property line, said installation
to be made to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Public
Safety and in accordance therewith and subject to compliance with
all applicable City ordinances and State laws.

The City Council requested that you prepare a resolution granting the attached
application of Phillips Petroleum Co. for permit to install a 11000 - gallon under-
ground gasoline storage tank and one pump for private use by McPhillips Sheet Metal
and Roofing Co., at the northwest corner of Wabasha St. and Chicago Ave., on Lot 5,
Block 166, Robertson's Addition, in accordance with plans filed Oct. 20, 1960, and
recommendations of the Fire Prevention.Bureau, particularly with reference to-required
setback of 10 ft. from the property line.

Dear Madam:
This is in the matter of the.application of the Phillips Petro-
leum Company to install a'1,000 gallon underground gasoline storage
tank and one pump for private use by the McPhillips Sheet Metal
and Roofing Company, owners of the property. This property is
located at the northwest corner of Wabasba Street and Chicago Avenue
and'is described as Lot 5, Block 166, Robertson's Addition. The
zoning is light industry and a public bearing is not required.
The property is presently developed with a masonry building which
is utilized by the McPhillips Sheet Metal and Roofing Company. The
property under consideration bas ,.4 frontage of 50 feet along South
Wabasha Street and 150 feet along Chicago Avenue, resulting in an
area of 7,500 square feet. Field investigation discloses that the
adjacent land uses are entirely industrial and that there would be
no objection to this installation. The-fire Prevention Bureau
has reviewed this proposal and recommends approval with the sti-
pulation that the pump island be located in accordance with the
required set back standard which is ten feet from any property line.
In accotdance with the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of thepermit to install a private 1,000 gallon gasoline
underground storage tank and pump in accordance with plans filed
October 20, 1960 and recommendations of the Fire Prevention Bureau.
