PAUL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK NCIL RESOLUTION- GENERAL FORM ,---P 1 1.9338 COUNCIL NO FILE WHEREAS, The City Clerk-has reported,:in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter; the existence of an emergency during the period from Sept.26 to October 18th which rendered necessary „the employment of certain employees of the City Clerk's Office for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Instructing the registration clerks in the Public Libraries= The office was open until 9 P.M. from Oct. 3 to Oct. 18th for registration of voters; Employees worked Columbus Day and the office was open from 8 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Saturday, October 15th for registration of voters. Employees in the oting Machine Warehouse worked Columbus day and Saturday. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Preparing for the election of Nov. 8, 1960. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
