MINNESOTA May 4, 1960 Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: Herewith I am transmitting to you -a copy of a resolution adopted unanimously by the members of the Board of Education at their regular meeting on Tuesday, May 3, 1960, requesting the City Council to call a special election on June 28, 1960 on the question of whether the St. Paul Special School Dis- trict #2 shall become an Independent School District. The schedule of timing for this election and the events sub - sequent to the election, if the vote should be favorable, as given to us by the Corporation Counsel Office and the City Elections Bureau is such that your early consideration of this matter is solicited.
