approves the award of the Contract

RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for the construction of a Guard Rail on
Jackson Street from Maryland Avenue to Arlington Avenue to RIBBEY ENGINEERING &
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor
hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8002 of said Kibbey Engineering & Construction
Company for the contract price of approximately $4,796951 (at unit prices bid),
plus Engineering $480.00 and plus Inspection $96.00 by City forces, such bid
being the lowest and said Ribbey Engineering & Construction Company being a
reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is direc-
ted to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City officials
hereby are authorized to execute said contract in behalf of the City of St.Paul.
