WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Public Works has reported, i
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of*an

employment of certain employees of the Department of

Dispatching men for emergency repair work

cers are hereby authorized to pay
certain employes in the Department
of Public Works for extra employment
as described in the resolution.

Mimeographing grade profiles & revising house numbers
Servicing municipal equipment
Making up sidewalk assessments
Inspecting city improvement jobs
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Necessity of answering all emergency repair calls, keeping fires
at Asphalt Plant continuously, keeping city streets free from
debris, taking complaints at City Yards, completingplans & spec-
ifications for grading & paving jobs, need for grade profiles and
douse numbers, completing sidewalk assessments, keeping city
equipment in good running condition, and inspecting work done by
contractors on street & sidewalk work.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper
