WHEREAS, the City Architect having requested the City Council
to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about the expense
incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a dangerous structure at
671 Iglehart Avenue, more particularly described as East 2/3 of Lot 1,
Block 19 Portland Addition to St. Paul, the City Council held a public
hearing on May 20, 1960, to consider the expense and to confirm the
amount thereof, and
WHEREAS, it appears that the City Council, pursuant to
Council File No. 193852, adopted September 3, 1959, published September
5, 1959, set a public hearing to consider removin the dangerous
structure, and the Council by Council File No. 19U2, approved September
29, 1959, published October 3, 1959, ordered the wrecking by and at
the separate cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person
in control thereof, and by Council File No. 194461, adopted October
279 1959, published October 31,.1959, directed the Commissioner of
Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings to enter upon the premises and
wreck and remove the building thereon and do any and all things therein
necessary for the protection of life, limb and adjoining property, and
that the City of Saint Paul has incurred the expense of $676.86 in re-
moving said structure; and
WHEREAS', it appears that Anna Novak, c/o Leirfallom Rest Home,
White Bear, Minnesota, is the owner of the premises copies of proceedings
herein having been mailed to County Welfare Board, x.76 St. Peter Street,
and N. P. Langford, 1112 Minnesota Building,.Saint Paul; therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby confirms the amount of $676.86 to be the fair, true and reasonable
amount for such services incurred in removing'the dangerous structure; ,
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the City Clerk be directed to file in
the office of the Register of Deeds for the County of Ramsey, a statement
of expense incurred by the City for the purpose of securing a lian on

Dear Madam:
We are attaching herewith a copy of C. F. No. 197469, approved by
the Council and published in the official paper on June 11, 1960.
This has reference to the property at 671 Iglehart Avenue, de-
scribed as East 2/3 of Lot 1, Block 1, Portland Addition to St.
Paul, owned by Anna Novak, % Leirfallom Rest Home, White Bear,
Minnesota. The County Y�relfare Board, 476 St. Peter Street, have
an interest.
It confirms the expenses incurred by the City in the condemnation
and wrecking of the two story single family dwelling thereon,
which amounts to $676.86.
As you will note, the final paragraph of this resolution directs
the City Clerk to file, in the office of the Register of Deeds, a
statement of expense incurred, for the purpose of securing a lien
on the property, in accordance with Section 1.07 -7 of the St.
Paul Legislative Code.

of Deeds for the purpose of creating a lien on the property known
as 671 Iglehart Avenue, described as East 2/3 of Lot 1, Block 1,
Portland Addition to St. Paul.
This property was listed in the name of Anna Novak, %Leirfallom
Rest Home, White Bear, Minnesota. Copies of the proceedings
were mailed to the County Welfare Board, 476 St. Peter Street,
St. Paul 2, and N. P. Langford, 1112 Minnesota Building, St.
Paul 1.
The expense was incurred by virtue of the wrecking and removal of
the danterous two story single family dwelling therefrom. Follow-
ing is an itemized statement of the expenses as per Registered
Bill No. 4 -1826, dated March 1, 1960, copy attached.
