THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: ,0,97389 Section 1. That Ordinance No. 7607, approved February 13, 1935, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out of the "Minimum qualifications" for "Senior Pumping Station Engineer" the words "or four years' experience as a Stationary Fireman in the Water Department's filtration plant."; and by substituting in lieu thereof the words. "or two years' experience as an Assistant Pumping Engineer." Section 2. ­That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out of the "Minimum qualifications" for "Stationary Fireman" the words."or four years' experience as a Power Plant Helper in the City service.'';- and by substituting in lieu thereof the words "or two years' experience as a Power Plant Helper." Section 3. That said ordinance, as amended, be and the same is hereby further amended by striking out of the "Minimum qualifications" for "Assistant Superintendent of Mechanical Equipment - -Water Department" and "Superintendent of Mechanical Equipment - -Water Department" the words "Eighth -grade education ", and substituting in lieu thereof the words "High school graduation ". Section 4. Examples of work performed: To assist the engineer in charge of the shift in the operation of high pressure steam pumps, electrically operated pumps, air com- pressors, and all equipment of a pumping station during a shift. To make ordinary and emergency repairs to pumping equipment. To assist in supervising the work of firemen and power plant helpers during a shift. To oil equipment if required. To keep records of shift operations. To read, interpret and record gauges and recording instruments. Minimum qualifications: Eighth,- -grade education and two years' experience as a Stationary Fireman in the Water Department.
