WHEREAS, the City and County Detention and Workhouse
Facility Commission has duly received informal bids through the
City Purchasing Agent of the City of Saint Paul for the furnish-
ing and complete installation necessary for water softening
equipment for the new City and County Workhouse; and
WHEREAS, said Commission has awarded the contract
for the furnishing and installation of said water softening
equipment to the Axel Newman Plumbing and Heating Company, the
low bidder, at their low bid of $6,850; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the City Council of the City of Saint
Paul hereby concurs in the awarding of the contract to the Axel
Newman Plumbing and Heating Company for the furnishing and
installation of said water softening equipment at their contract
price of $6,850.00; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED,-That the City Council of the City
of Saint -Paul hereby directs its proper City officials to affix
their signatures to the said contract; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, That Council File No. 197280, as
herein modified, is hereby superseded.
