Whereas, William H. Van Ort, an
employe of the Department of Parks

WHEREAS, William H. Van Ort, an employe of the �"''F'b" 't
Department of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings of
the City of Saint Paul, was involved in a third party accident
on June 5, 1959, while he was engaged in the performance of
his duties for the Department of Parks and Recreation and
Public Buildings, and the City has incurred medical expense
on behalf of the employe in the amount of $36.00 therefor,
and there was damage to the City -owned vehicle driven by the
employe to the extent of $114 by reason of said accident; and
WHEREAS, a settlement has been negotiated by the
parties whereby the employe will receive the sum of $75.00,
and the City will receive two - thirds of its claimed property
damage, or $76.00, plus its total expenditure for medical
bills incurred on behalf of the employe, or $36.00, and the
office of the Corporation Counsel recommends acceptance of
said settlement on behalf of the City; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, The proper City officers are hereby
authorized to accept said settlement, in the total amount of
$112.00, in full settlement of its claim against Frank J.
Andrasko, third party involved in said accident of June 5, 1959,
for medical expenses and property damage, and to sign any
necessary releases; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That said amount of $112.00 shall
be credited as follows: To fund 31 -G1 -A, the sum of $36.00;
to payment of property damage represented by Registered Bill
No. 4 -1787, the sum of $76.00; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, That the remaining balance after
payment of $76.00 toward Registered Bill No. 4 -1787, or $38.08,
be and the same hereby is cancelled.
