RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, add hereby awards contract for the grading of Pacific Street and
McLean Avenue from Hazelwood Street to Barclay Street and Barclay Street from
McLean Avenue to Pacific Street to J. R. WALKER & SONS, INC. in accordance with
City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid A8000 of
said J. R. Walker & Sons Inc. for the contract price of $4990.00 plus Engineering
$399.00 and plus Inspection $100.00 by City forces, such bid being the lowest and
said J. R. Walker & Sons, Inc. being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of
contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute
said contract in behalf of the- C ity of Saint Paul.
