SAS, The Commissioner of Public Safety has reported, iiL
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence
of an emergency during the period from August 1, 1960 to AM-
ust 15, 1960, which rendered necessary the employment of car-'
tain employees in the Department of Public Safety for more
than eight hours per dawy, or forty hours per weep, in doing
the following works
Caring for woman prisoners
WMMMa. this emergency srose by reason of the following
facts and circumstances:
Two regular Police Matrons are ill
TARE BE IT EESOLPID: That the proper city officers are
hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such
work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary
Ordinance No. 6446.
