WHEREAS, the City and County Detention and Workhouse
Facility Commission at its meeting of July 20, 1960, subject
to concurring action by the Council of-the City of Saint Paul
and the Board of County Commissioners of Ramsey County, authorized
the award of a contract to the Minnesota Lumber and Wrecking
Corporation for demolition of the Old Workhouse for the sum of
$17,890, to be paid to said company by the said commission, the
bid of the Minnesota Lumber, and Wrecking Corporation in the
amount of $17,890 being the lowest of the four bids received
pursuant to the duly advertised call for competitive bids with
reference to the aforesaid project,
Now, Therefore, be it

RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby concurs in the action of the said Commission in awarding
a contract to the Minnesota Lumber and Wrecking Corporation and
authorizes and directs the proper City officers to execute on
behalf of the City the contract for demolition of the Old Workhouse.
