WHEREAS, THE COMMISSIONER OF LIBRARIES AUDITORIUM, MUSEUMS & STADIA HAS
REPORTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 51 OF THE CITY CHARTER, THE
EXISTENCE OF AN EMERGENCY DURING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 1 TO 31,
INCLUSIVE, WHICH RENDERED NECESSARY THE EMPLOYMENT OF CERTAIN
EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPAPTMENT OF LIBRARIES, AUDITORIUM MUSEUMS
& STAD.IA, BUREAU OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES, FOR MORE THAN EIGHT HOURS
PER DAY OR FORTY HOURS PER WEEK IN DOING THE FOLLOWING WORK:
(1) COVERING BOOKMOBILE SCHEDULE AND (2) BEING PRESENT
DURING EVENING MEETINGS OF .THE PUBLIC
AND WHEREAS, THIS EMERGENCY AROSE BY REASON OF THE FOLLOWING FACTS AND
CIRCUMSTANCES:

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,: THAT THE PROPER CITY' OFFICERS ARE HEREBY AUTHOR-

WITH THE PROVISION OF THE COUNCILS SALARY ORDINANCE N0. 6446.
