WHEREAS, the Camissioner of Public Safety has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from March 10 1960
to MArch 31, 1960, which rendered necessary the employment _of certain employees in the
Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day, or forty hours per week,
in doing the following works
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance and
WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances:
Opening and closing the Public Health Building on creek ends.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay
the employees mho performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Counoilts
Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
