GENERAL FOR PRESENTED BY ever /ink• Ort son Jan 160 COMMISSIONER WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from November 29th through December 31, 1959 which rendered necessary the employ- ment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia, Bureau of the Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Operate switchboard, ventilating systems, run ice plant and supervise during shows, hockey games, convention and other events held in the building. and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances; . No other trained help available to work during attractions and also for engineer during illness of other engineer, this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 61446.
