WHEREAS, THE COMMISSIONER OF LIBRARIESI AUDITORIUM MUSEUMS & STADIA HAS
REPORTED IN ACCORDANCE,WITH SECTION 51 OF THE CITY CHARTER, THE
EXISTENCE OF AN EMERGENCY DURING THE PERIOD FROM DECEMBER 1 TO
31, 19591 INCLUSIVE, WHICH RENDERED NECESSARY THE EMPLOYMENT OF
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPARTMENT OF LIBRARIES, AUDITORIUM
MUSEUMS AND STADIA, BUREAU OF PUBLIC LIBRARIES, FOR MORE THAN
EIGHT HOURS PER DAY OR FORTY HOURS PER WEEK IN DOING THE FOLLOWING
WORK:
(1) COVERING BOOKMOBILE SCHEDULE AND (2) BEING PRESENT
DURING. EVENING MEETING OF THE PUBLIC,
AND WHEREAS, THIS EMERGENCY AROSE BY REASON OF THE FOLLOWING FACTS AND
CIRCUMSTANCES:
COVERING BOOKMOBILE SCHEDULE, AND BEING PRESENT DURING EVENING
MEETING OF THE PUBLIC,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE PROPER CITY OFFICERS ARE HEREBY AUTHOR-
IZED TO PAY THE EMPLOYEES WHO PERFORMED SUCH WORK IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE PROVISION OF THE COUNCILtS SALARY ORDINANCE N0. 6446.
