Dear Council Members:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City Clerk on
this date, for the purpose of creating a lien on the property
known as 113 Fenton Street, described as Lot 10, Block 10,
Town of Brooklynd.
This property is owned by C. G. Wedebrand, 113 Fenton Street
(last known addres4 and State of Minnesota: Mr. Miles Lord,
Atty. Gen., 102 State Capitol, St. Paul; Mr. Jos. M. Robertson,
Comsr. of Taxation, Centennial Building, St. Paul; Mrs. D. M.
DeCourcy, Land Gomsr., 113 City Hall, St. Paul 2; Mr. Eltor
Dehn, Land Comsr. Office, 286 City Hall, St. Paul 2; and copies
were mailed to the Old Age Assistance, 476 St. Peter Street,
St. Paul 2 and Christine Wedebrand, % 877 Johnson 'Parkway, St.
Paul 6.
In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by the
City Council:
C.F. 193992, adopted by the Council September 16, 1959 (publish-
ed September 19, 1959, set a public hearing at 10 A. M. on Octo-
ber 7, 1959.
C.F. 194303, adopted by the Council October 13, 1959 (published
October 17, 1959, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate
cost and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in con-
trol thereof.
C.F. 194723, adopted by the Council November 19, 1959 (published
November 21, 1959) directed the Commissioner of Parks And Recre-
ation And Public Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and
remove the dwelling thereon, and do any and all things therein
necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining property.

C.F. 195409, adopted by the Council January 15, 1960 (published
January 23, 1960, approved the award of the contract for
wrecking to Truck Crane Service Co. for the sum of $374.00 in
accordance with specifications and Informal Bid No. 1105.
C.F. 196134, adopted by the Council March 4, 1960 (published
March 13, 1960), provided that the wrecking expense of $374.00
and expense of the Department of Parks And Recreation And Public
Buildings in connection with the condemnation in the amount of
$59.85, making a total of $433.95, be paid out of Wrecking Con-
demned Buildings, 31 G 22, and, in the event said sum proves
collectible from the owner, same is to be credited to 31 G 22.
The building has now been satisfactorily wrecked and a register-
ed bill mailed to the owners.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing with ten days*
notice to consider any complaints about the expenses incurred
and to confirm the amount. The Council resolution confirming
the expense should-end with a directive to the City Clerk to
file a statement of expense for the purpose of securing a lien
on the property.
