In the Matter of constructing a public sewer in Geranium Ave. from Avon Street to
220 feet west of Avon Street; from Geranium Ave. to Rose Ave. in an easement (to be
obtained) in Avon Street (vacated) said easement (to be obtained) being on the east
20 feet of the west 35 feet of Avon Street (vacated) and said easement (to be obtained)
extending from Geranium Ave. to Rose Ave.; and from Rose Ave. to Maryland Ave. in an
existing sewer easement in Avon Street (vacated) said easement being 20 feet in width
along the center of Avon Street (vacated), all of which is to be known as the
GERANIUM -AVON SEWER SYSTEM
under Preliminary Order 193629 Approved Au&ust 18, 1959
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to construct a public
sewer in Geranium Ave. from Avon Street to 220 feet west of Avon Street; from Geranium
Ave. to Rose Ave. in an easement (to be obtained) in Avon Street (vacated) said easement
(to be obtained) being on the east 20 feet of the west 35 feet of Avon Street (vacated)
and said easement (to be obtained) extending from Geranium Ave. to Rose Ave.; and from
Rose Ave. to Maryland Ave. in an existing sewer easement in Avon Street (vacated) said
easement being 20 feet,in width along the center of Avon Street (vacated), all of which•
is to be known as the GERANIUM AVON SEWER SYSTEM
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $10, 645.53
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 31st day of
May, 1960 1 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
