RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, material,
machines, tools and equipment for constructing, repairing, relaying or
reconstructing such monolithic concrete or cement tile sidewalks and dither work
incidental thereto, within Sidewalk District No, 2 as may be ordered by the
Council for the current.year prior to September 15, 1960, except such work as
the Council may order to be done by City Force Account, to NORTHWEST FLOORING
COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor herto attached
and the Formal Bid #7912 of said Northwest Flooring Company for the contract
price of approximately $60,267.00 (at unit prices bid) plus Engineering $4821.,00
and plus Inspection $1205.00 by City Forces, suchbid being the lowest and said
Northwest Flooring Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the
Corporation Counsel be-and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of
contract therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are author ized to-
execute said contract on behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
