PAUL F,OENCIL NO. 1_. 105014- OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK 2UCNCIL RESOLUTION — GENERAL FORM PRESENTED B COMMISSIO DATF WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with,Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from February 1st to February 15th inclusive, 1960, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following works (1 Repairing Filtration Plant and Pumping Station equipment: 2 Working extra shifts, various stations. 3 Repairing watercmains, hydrants and service connections. 4 Repairing Storeyard heating system. 5 Driving country to-and from work: AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1 Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Illness of employees on regular shifts. 3 In order to speed repairs: 4 In order to have heating system ready for usee 5 On account of scattered work locations: TBEREFOREO BE IT•RESDLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No: 6446: COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays Holland Mortinson Rosen Vii nkel Pre_sf&ot, Dillon s{i' -�saVi � ri ��iu�nc ,Pec;.rcr� Tn Favor Against Council File No. 195914 —By Milton Rosen — Resolved, That the proper city offi- cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in,the Water Dept. for extra employment as described in the resolution.
