Morting-a-t ZAZI DATE February 9, 1960 WHER S, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium, Museums and Stadia has reported in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January 1st through January 30th, 1960 which rendered necessary the Employ- ment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries, Auditorium ,I'Museums and Stadia, Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following works Operate switchboard, ventilating systems, run ice plant and supervise during hockey games, home show, road shows and winter- carnival events held in the building. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: No other trained help available to work during various attractions and also this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday. THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance No. 6446.
