SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA

1 WHEREAS, The Government Finance Officers Association, a professional association of state, provinciai
2 and local finance officers in the United States and Canada, awarded Lynn Moser, from the Office of
3 Financial Services, a$5,000 George A. Nielsen Public Investor 5cholarship; and

WI3EREAS, The Government Finance Officers Association wiil pay the registration fee to the
Government Finance Officers Association's annual conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where the
scholarship will be awarded; and
9 WHEREAS, JPMorgan Chase, a global financial services firm, funding the Government Finance Officers
10 Association, provides transportation and hotel accommodations to the annual conference;

12 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Councii on behalf of the citizens of Saint
13 Paul, accept and authorize the contribution from the Government Finance Officers Association and
14 JPMorgan Chase.
