Hon. Council
City of St. Paul
Dear Council Members;
An inspection has been completed with reference to the single
family dwelling at 1486 York Street described as West 60 feet
of North 200 feet of Lot 17, Block 2, Cruickshankfs Garden
Lots.
Our inspector reports that this is a very old dilapidated
frame buil4ng, approximately 30 by 26 with an 18 by 24 addi-
tion and attached shed to by 12 feet. This building has
been vacant for over a year and a fire occurred here sometime
ago damaging it to an extent greater than fifty per cent.
The interior as well as window frames and outside door were
badly burned. It is beyond reasonable repair and should be
wrecked, as it constitutes a hazard in the neighborhood.
The last known owners are Michael and Eliza Keller, % William
C. Keller, 2444 Stevens Avenue South, Minneapolis 4, Minnesota.
Danger Notices have been posted on the building.
Kindly initiate condemnation action by setting a hearing date
in accordance with Section 1.07 -2 of the St. Paul Legislative
Code, which section outlines condemnation action.
Yours truly,
Alf H.Schroeder
