WHEREAS, The organizarion Rebuilding Together is planning hvo volunteer events during the week of Apri126 through May
3, 2008; and
WFIEREAS, the events are planned to be held at Wilder Recreation Center and Bruce Vento Nature Sancfiary; and
WHEREAS, the events aze being sponsored by HGTV under their "Rebuilding America — It Starts at Home" project; and
R'I�REAS, the Division of Pazks and Recreation has made arrangements for the work to be completed; and
WIIEREAS, Rebuilding Together desues that the City of Saint Paul would hold its officers, d'uectors, employees, agents and
volunteers harmless from any cause of acrion, claim or suit arising from tlus work; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council authorize its Director of Puks and Recreation to enter into agreements
with Rebuilding Togethez foi Wilder Recrearion Cemer and Bruce Vento Nahue Sanctuary.

CONTRAC"1'AGREEMENT
This agreement and release is entered into this day of by and between Rebuilding
Together Twin Cities ("Rebuilding Together") and the CiTy of Saint Paul ("Owners").
In consideration of the work to be performed on the premises located at 958 Jessie St., Saint Paul, MN 55130
("the prexnises"), OVJNER(S), the below signed hereby give permission to Rebuilding Together to enter the
premises Apri126 — May 3, 2008 and those other days as may be agreed upon as necessary to the carrying out
of the repairs and refurbishing work specified on the Work Summary.
Uwe, the owner(s) and steward(s), understand and affum the following:
_ Uwe will not be charged for the work performed on our property.
It is my/our intention to retain and maintain this property for a minimum of two years after completion
of repair work performed.
_ Uwe will be responsible for reimbursing the cost of supplies and labor to Rebuilding Together if Uwe
sell, rent or accept a contract for sale of the property while work is being completed by Rebuilding
Together or within two yeazs after such work is completed.
_ The work will be performed by skilled and unskilled volunteers, and contractors as indicated on the
attached Work Summary.
None of the work is warranted or guaranteed.
_ In consideration o.f the work to be performed, free of charge, by the volunteers organized by
Rebuilding Together the benefit of the Owner(s) and property, and in light of the aims and purposes
of the community service provided by Rebuilding Together, its officers and directors, employees,
agents and volunteers harmless from any cause of action, claim or suit arising from such work.
Uwe acknowledge that the attached Work Summary outlines the general scope of work that will be
attempted by Rebuilding Together volunteers Aprii Y6 — May 3, 2008, and that this has been discussed
with me. Uwe further acknowledge that while every effort will be made to complete all of the projects
listed on the Work Summary, projects will be undertaken in a priority order as time and personnel
allow, and that there is no guarantee as to the amount of work that Rebuilding Together may complete.
Uwe will enforce any and all guidelines/laws requiring domestic animals to be leashed during khe
workday while volunteers aze present.
Uwe understand that no alcoholic beverages are to be consumed on the premises during the Project
Day.
_ Uwe will secure all breakables and other fragile materials prior to Project Day. I/we will be responsible
for the movement/placement of these objects.
_ Uwe are aware that Rebuilding Together will need to remove, discard or relocate objects and materials
on the property.
