RECOGNIZING COMCAST CARES DAY
WIIEREAS Comcast strives to be a good corporate citizen that not only provides quality communications products and services
but enriches the communities it serves, and;
WHEREAS Comcast has instituted an employee volunteer program, Comcast Cares Day, to further the company's commitment
to community by identifying meaningful volunteer opportunities in which iu employees aze encouraged to participate, and;
WHEREAS Saturday, May 3, 2008, has been desigriated as national Comcast Cares Day, when an estimated SQ000 employees,
family and community partners nationwide will participate in volunteer projects across the country, and;
WHEREAS more than 1,200 Comcast employees, family and friends will join forces with Saint Pau] organizations such as:
Academia Cesaz Chavez,
Amherst H. Wilder Foundation,
Animal Humane Society,
Boys and Guls Club at Mt. Airy,
Face to Face Academy,
Lutheran Socia] Services,
Merrick Community Services,
Neighborhood House,
Roosevelt Elementary,
Rebuilding Together — Twin Cities
to complete a variety of tasks focused on meeting local needs and improving the quality of life in Saint Paul;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Saint Paul City Council officially recognizes May 3, 2008 as COMCAST
CARES DAY in the City of St. Paul and we salute the efforts of the Comcast employees, their families and community
volunteers who make a difference in our loca] community.
