KOTHE,'Deputy Corcmtisa5onr 8 November 18, 1960 Hon. Council Dear Members: You referred to the Building Bureau for investigation and recommendation, a petition of twenty -nine property owners requesting that a vacant house at the southwest corner of Hoyt and Barclay Streets be removed as it has been damaged and is a moral hazard. This building is a very substantial two and one -half story house which has been vacant and boarded up for quite some time. Vandals apparently have selected this as a center of operation and the building has been gradually damaged and dismantled to the extent where it now has become a very dan- gerous structure. The porch has collapsed, the garage roof has collapsed, in- terior walls are being removed and it is in such a condition now that it is very dangerous. It is the recommendation of this office that condemnation pro- ceedings be initiated immediately. AHS:vo Yours truly,; Al d H. Schroeder C y Architect 0
