WHEREAS the Saint Paul - Minneapolis area has been granted
professional football, and
WHEREAS this sport is one of America's favorite pastimes, and
WHEREAS a "blitz" of Saint Paul, conducted by the Saint Paul
Area Chamber of Commerce, will take place Tuesday,
December 6, to sell 2000 season tickets for the new
Minnesota Viking Professional Football Team, now
therefore be it
RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul
hereby endorses BLITZ DAY, December 6, in Saint Paul,
and urges all citizens to participate in this day by
acquiring season tickets to see the most sensational
and entertaining football played within the boundaries
of the United States.
