RE: Parking Lot - Lots 8; 9, and 10, Block 58, Irvine's
Enlargement of -Rice and Irvine's Addition to City of
Saint Paul, which includes Parcels 32, 35, and 36
Gentlemen:
The Minnesota State Highway Departmerit has granted Miller Hospital
approval to lease the above- described property for a period from
December 1, 1960, to December 31, 1961, for use in parking
employees' and visitors' cars. This land has just recently been con-
demned and cleared for use in constructing the freeway, and this is
an interim agreement until freeway construction starts.
At the suggestion of Mr. Al Schroeder, because of the very temporary
useage of this property, we are requesting the Council's approval
for a parking lot permit for Miller Hospital with a minimum number
of improvements to this area so that we may begin using it for parking
as soon after December 1, 1960, as possible. A drawing, prepared
by Ellerbe and Company, indicating the proposed work and the number
of cars to be parked is enclosed.
We respectfully request your earliest consideration of this matter.
