CITY OF S Peterson — Resolved, That the proper city offi- OFFICE OF THE cers are hereby authorized to pay certain employes in the City Clerk's COUNCIL RESOLUTIO Office — Election Bureau, for extra em- ployment as described in the resolution. Adopted by the Council November 15, PRESENTED BY 1960. COMMISSIONS Approved November 15, 1960. (November 19, 1960) NO WHEREAS, The City Clerk has reported,,in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency ,during the period from October 31st to November 10th which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the City Clerk`s Office for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: The office was open until 9 P.M. three nights for instruction meetings for election judges and was also open one Saturday morning for an instruction meeting. The office was open from 6 A.M. Nov. 8th to 12 :30 A.M. Nov. 9th, Election Day.Preparing the voting machines for delivery to the voting places and placing them in the proper places after the election. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Preparing for the County & State General Election and City Special Election, Nov. 8th, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in r accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance C Ordinance Not 6446.
