Mrs. Donald M. DeCourcy
Commissioner of Public Utilities
City of St. Paul, Minnesota
Dear Commissioner:
The Twin City Rapid Transit Company has made application to the
Railroad and Warehouse Commission for a revision of its bus service
to West St. Paul which will also affect service in St. Paul to some
degree.
It is proposed to eliminate the service of the Hamline- Cherokee
line on Smith Avenue south of Annapolis and also on the Como - Stryker
line on Stryker south of Annapolis, both of these sections being in
West St. Paul. It is proposed that these lines form a loop operating
on Annapolis Street between Smith Avenue and Stryker Avenue as the
most practical means of turnaround of the two lines. The service
frequency is unchanged, but the residents of this loop on Smith Avenue,
Stryker Avenue and Annapolis Street will have the privilege of board-
ing a bus operating in either direction which will increase the
frequency of bus service without actually increasing the number of
buses. Resolutions covering this change of route are attached hereto.
There is also a minor change in the Jackson -South Robert bus route
in that the service on Oakdale Road in West St. Paul is to be ter-
minated. This only affects operation in St. Paul for one block
between Robert and Oakdale.
lYours very truly,
Edwin F. Jones
Utilities Engineer
