the end that the true intent and purpose••of..the Council there-
under shall be expressed that its prior re's'olution, Council
File Igo. 197860, approved July 5, 1`96'0, -be and the same hereby
is amended so that the same shall read as follows:
"In the Matter of the grading and surfacing with
bituminous material the alley in Block 1, Vap Slyke &
Lewis' Re- Arrangement of Humbirds Addition, from DeSoto
St. to the west line of Lot 5, Block 1, Vasa Slyke &
Lewis' Re- Arrangement of Humbirds Addition, and install-
ing necessary storm sewer for drainage purposes in said
alley from a point 102 feet east of Clark Street to the
existing sewer in Clark Street, under Preliminary Order
196310 approved March 16, 1960.
"A "public hearing having been had upon the above
improvement upon due notice, and the Council having
heard all persons, objections and recommendations
relative thereto, and having fully considered the
same; therefore, be it
"RESOLVED, By the Council of the City of Saint
Paul that the precise nature, extent and kind of im-
provement to be,made by the said City is to grade and
surface with bituminous material the alley in Block 1,
Van Slyke & Lewis' Re- Arrangement of Humbirds Addition,
from DeSoto St. to the west line of Lot 5, Block 1,
Van Slyke & Lewis' Re- Arrangement of Humbirds Addition,
and installing necessary storm sewer for drainage purposes
in said alley from a point 102 feet east of Clark Street
to the existing sewer in Clark Street, and the Council
hereby orders said improvement to be made.
