Recruiting was challenging. Nonetheless, the number of required seasonal aquatics staff increased from the year prior, even with Oxford Pool being closed. In 2008, the new Aquatics Center at Oord pool will open. Required seasonal and yeaz round staffing is expected to increase dramatically. To recmit enough qualified staff and to stay competitive with similaz aquarics facilities in the metro area, the rates of pay for Aqua6cs titles within the Special Employment Salary Schedule are being increased. AdvantageslfApproved: By paying a comperitive market rate, we'll ariract a larger pool of applicants. Disadvantages If Approved: None. Disadvantages If Not Approved: Possible lack of applicants to consider for filling these seasonal positions.
