Newell, Inc., to pay i for such privileges the sum of $2,000.00 for each park season, in installments of $400.00 per month �beKinning May 1 t WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings lias recommended the leasing of the following privileges at Como Park to Fred H. Newell, Inc., namely, the rental of rowboats and canoes, the rental of water bicyhles, the operations of the Lake Como Pavilion refreshment stand, and the privilege of storage space in the pavilion building, for the park seasons of 1961 to 1963 inclusive, the said Fred H. Newell, Inc., to pay for such privileges the sum of $2., 000. 00 for each park season, in installments- of $400. 00 per month, beginning May 1 of each park season, and to provide a public liability policy for injury to persons in an amount not less than $5, 000. 00 for one accident, subject to the following conditions That no employee of the said Fred H. Newell, Inc., shall be required or permitted to work longer than forty -eight hours in any one week, except that additional hours may be worked if overtime is paid therefor at the hourly rate for such employment, and the wages to be paid any such employees shall be the same as paid to regular City employees doing the same or similar work; and if there is no wage scale set for that type of work by the City, then the wage shall be not less than the rate provided for a refectory sales clerk employed by the City of Saint Paul; therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Council concurs in the recommendations of the Com- missioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings, and the Corporation Counsel is hereby authorized and directed to draw the proper lease therefor and the proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City, of Saint Paul.
