RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for the Paving of Shepard Road from
James Avenue to Randolph Avenue (Municipal- County State Aid Project No.
62- 504 -11) to ASHBACH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in accordance with City plans
and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #8157 of
said Ashbach Construction Company for the contract price of $65,767.00
(at unit prices bid), plus $6,576.70 Engineering and plus $1,315.34
Inspection by City Forces, such bid being the lowest and said Ashbach
Construction Company being a-:.reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby-is directed to draw up the proper form
of contract therefor and the proper City officials hereby ate authorized
to execute said contract in behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
