RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $135.00 be allowed
under Contract No. G -2188 between the City of Saint Paul and Bachke
& Tein, Inc.; said contract for Painting of St. Anthony Park Branch,
Merriam Park Branch, and Rice Street Branch Libraries, St. Paul,
.Minnesota, and said extra to cover the Painting of Parking-Fence
at Rice Street Library, touch up bare wood and paint one coat of
lead and oil paint, this work having been requested by the Com-
missioner of Libraries,. Auditorium, Stadia and Museums, and agree-
ment made with the Contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement
having been filed with the Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract No. G -2188 for Painting of St. Anthony Park
Branch, Merriam Park Branch, and Rice Street Branch
Libraries was awarded to Bachke & Tei'n, Inc.
It has been found desirable to paint the Parking Fence
at the Rice Street Library, to touch up the bare wood
and paint one coat of lead and oil paint, and at the
request of the Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium,
Stadia and Museums, negotiations have been conducted
with the contractor who agrees to do this work for the
amount of $135.00, which is a reasonable amount for the
labor and material involved.
It is, therefore; requested that a resolution be sub -
mitted to the Council authorizing this extra.
