Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of thq application of Louis Horeish for a permit
for a trailer rental lot in connection with an existing filling station
located on the southeast corner of Randolph Avenue and Milton Street.
The property is described as Lots 13, 14, 15, Block 1, Watson "s Addition.
The zoning is commercial.
The filling station operation has a frontage of 50 feet on Milton Street
and 118.73 feet on Randolph Avenue resulting in an area of approximately
5,937 square feet. The remainder of the three lots under consideration
is used for gardening and will not be utilized for the trailer rental
operation. The applicant proposed to operate a rental lot for eight
trailers in conjunction with the existing filling station. North across
Randolph Avenue is a commercial building occupied by a tavern, a shoe
repair and sales shop, with two apartments on the second floor, also a
single - family residence; south and adjoining are single - family residences
fronting on Juno Avenue; east and adjoining is a single - family residence;
west across Milton Street is Schusters; bakery which fronts on Randolph
Avenue; diagonally across the intersection is another filling station.
Field investigation discloses no basic objection to the proposed use.
The Traffic Engineer approves the plan which meets the standards for
this type of facility.
In consideration of the above factors, the Board of Zoning recommends
the granting of the application for a permit for an eight trailer rental
lot in conjunction with an existing filling station operation on the above
described property in accordance with plans approved March 3, 1960.
Sincerely,
H. C. Wieland
