In the Matter of improving Burns Avenue from Earl Street to 257 feet east of east
line of Griffith Street by regrading, curbing and paving the same with concrete base
and asphaltic concrete surfacing; by grading and paving street, alley and driveway
returns; by reconstructing the paving, curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting
streets where not in conformity with said improvement; by constructing sewer, water
and gas service connections where necessary; by constructing storm water drainage
facilities and by doing all other work necessary and incidental to complete said
improvement
under Preliminary Order 194874 approve
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with. -
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is to improve Burns_
Avenue from Earl Street to 257 feet east of east line of Griffith Street by regrading,
curbing and paving the same with concrete base and asphaltic concrete surfacing; by-
grading and paving street, alley and driveway returns; by reconstructing the paving,
curbing and sidewalks on the intersecting streets where not in conformity with said
improvement; by constructing sewer, water and gas service connections where necessary;
by constructing storm water drainage facilities and by doing all other work necessary
and incidental to eoplete said improvement
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $87x285.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 17th day of
May, 1960 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
