Winkel — Whereas, By Council File No. 188864, approved November 18, 1958, certain uponothe jointllpetit petition Street the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul and the City of Saint Paul, acting in the premises by and through its Commissioner of Parks NO. r WHRiEAS, by Council File No. 189961., approved November 18, 1958, certain portions of valley Street were vacated upon the joint petition of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul and the City of Saint Paul, acting in the premises by and through its Commissioner of Parks and Recreation and Public Buildings; and WHEREAS, as a result of said vacation; placement of certain barri- cades and flares upon said vacated street was found to be necessary and the same were placed by the Department of Public Works, and the cost therefor accrued and billed as shown in the Registered Bills issued by the Department of Public Works as follows: No. 1 -8059 $139.35 1 -8083 152.75 1- 8115 144.00 1 -8151 139.35 1 -8339 l".00 for a total cost of $719.45; and WHEREAS, an agreembnt has been reached by and between the parties to the original vacation proceedings whereby each of the petitioners on said proceedings will bear 50 per cent of the cost of said barricades and flares; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, -that upon the receipt by the City' of Saint Paul of a draft from the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Paul- in the amount of $359.72, such amount being 50 per cent of the total cost above referred to, the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed'to issue an Interdepartmental Invoice to the Bureau of Recreation against fund PL -10, and the Bureau of Recreation and proper City officers_ L are hereby authorized and directed to make such transfer from Fund P1 -10 to the proper fund of the Public Works Department so as to effect a payment by said Recreation Bureau of its 50 per cent share of the above cost. ppR i 4: 1g6O COUNCILMEN Adopted by the Council 19 Yeas Nays 1 g:196B DeCourcy P,PR Holland Ap rove 19 Martinson Peterson Tn Favor Rosen Mayor Winkel Against Mr. President, Dillon 5M 7-59 8
