FILE Council File No. 190706 —By Milton Rosen — Resolved, By the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon due consideration of _the report and recommendation of ' �+'• t.'.[� It ?4P, h" for RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, upon due consideration of the report and recommendation of its Public Utilities Committee, in the premises, that the Corporation Counsel of the City of Saint Paul be and he hereby is instructed, in behalf of said City, in the presently pending mass transportation rate proceeding, before the Railroad and Warehouse`Commission of the State of Minnesota, involving the application of Minneapolis Street Railway Company to fix and establish rates of fare to be charged by said Company for carrying passengers within the City of Minneapolis, the application of the Saint Paul City Railway Company to fix and establish rates of fare to be charged by said Company for carrying passengers within the City of Saint Paul, and the application of Twin City Motor Bus Company to fix and establish rates of fare to be charged by said Company for carrying passengers within the cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, in each instance pursuant to Chapter 221, MinnesotaStO- AP99as °and to the extent permissible under the Statutes of the State of Minnesota and the Rules of Procedure of said Commission, to effect and preserve the status of the City of Saint Paul as a party to said consolidated rate proceeding,-with all rights and privileges as such to participate therein and with right -'to by appeal.or otherwise, review any decision of said Commission therein; RESOLVED FURTHER, that said Corporation Counsel, in said consolidated rate proceeding, before said Commission, in Vehalf of said City and its inhabitants, shall oppose any proposed increase in any rate of mass transportation fare presently finally prescribed, promulgated and established, and further oppose any proposed action by said Commission which would involve the severance of said Companies by treating the same as separate entities or operators of separate systems for any rate base determination or any prescription or promulgation of rates of fare, and shall propose and contend that said Commission's determination for all involved rate making purposes, therein, be based upon the proposition that all mass trans- portation operations under consideration constitute those of one mass transportation system, to -wit, that of the Twin City Rapid Transit COUNCILMEN Yeas Nays DeCourcy Rolland Mortinson Peterson Rosen Winkel Mr. President, Dillon 5M 7 -59 c Q50.8 In Favor Against Adopted by the Council 19 Approved 19 Mayor Y• ORIGINAL TO CITY CLERK 6 K CITY OF ST.
