RESOLVED, That the Council hereby concurs in the recommendation of the Purchasing Committee
in awarding contracts for furnishing the following approximate quantities of Bituminous
Materials to the Department of Public Works for period from May 1, 1960 to April 30, 1961,
as follows;
ARMOUR INDUSTRIAL CHEMICAL COMPANY - 48,000# Anti- Stripping Additive Concentrate at a
contract price.of approximately $7680400
W.H.BARBE R COMPANY - 400,000 Gallons Road Oil #2,'175,000 Gallons Road Oil #3,
400,000 Gallons MC -1 Cutback Asphalt, 20,000 gallons MC -2 Cutback Asphalt, 10;000 gallons MC -3
Cutback Asphalt, 1000 Gallons #6 Fuel Oil, at a contract price of approximately $95,607.50
FORD DEEP ROCK OIL COMPANY - 17,000 Gallons Standard Commercial Kerosene at a contract price
of approximately $2209.49.
MOBIL OIL COMPANY - 1000 Tons Asphalt Paving Cement and 10,000 Gallons RCS -2 Cutback Asphalt
at a contract price of approximately $23,575.00.
L. N. SICKELS COMPANY - '10.,000 Gallons RS -2 Emulsified Asphalt, 150,000 Gallons SS -1
Emulsified AsphaTt';,30,000 Gallons RS -2K Cationic Emulsion at a contract price of
approximately $247,,1776.00.
SKELLY OIL COMPANY - 10,000 Gallons RC -0 Cutback Asphalt and 200,000 Gallons RC -2 Cutback
Asphalt at a contract price of $21,846.00
all in accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #7932,
said companies being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidders and the Corporation Counsel
be and hereby is authorized to draw up the -'proper form of contract therefor and the proper
City officials are hereby authorized to execute said contracts on behalf of the City of
Saint Paul. ,
