VMREAS, The City Clerk has reported, in accordance with Section 53
of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the
period from March 28th to April 5th, 1960, which rendered necessary
the employment of certain employees of the City Clerk's Office for more
:tea -c than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the
following work:
The office was open from 8 A. M. to 9 P. M. seven nights
for registration of voters. Minnesota Election Laws,
AND WEEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Preparing for the election of April 26, 1960:
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the proper city officers are hereby
authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in
accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance,
Ordinance No, 6446.
