RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for the grading of Jessie Street from Brainard
Ave. to Cottage Ave; Bradley Street from Ivy Ave. to Cottage Ave; Ivy Ave. from
Jessie St. to Burr St.; Cottage Ave. from Edgerton St. to Burr St., also for the
construction of the Jessie -Ivy Sewer System, to GOPHER STATE STRUCTURES, INC.
in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #7980 of said Gopher State Structures, Inc. for the contract price of
$32,636.57 plus Engineering $2611.00 and plus Inspection $653.00 by City Forces,
such bid being the lowest and said Gopher State Structures, Inc. being a reasonable
and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw
up the proper form of contract therefor; and the proper City officials hereby are
authorized to execute said contract in behalf of the City of St. Paul.
