08-326coun�s� Fue # 6K - 3 a Green Sheet # 3Q510`�O CITY OF Presented by RESOLUTION NT PAUL, MINNESOTA /a�- FY2008 CONSOLIDATED PLAN (CDBG,ESG,HOME) SUBMISSION 2 4 WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did approve, upon the recommendation 5 of the Mayor and with the advice of the Capital Improvement Budget Committee, the FY2008 6 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program as part of the 2008 Capital Improvement 7 Budget and the 2008 Special Funds Budget; and 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 WHEREAS, the appropriate public hearings on the 2008 ConsolidaYed Plan have been held in accordance with the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that Mayor Chris Coleman, as Chief Executive Officer of the City of Saint Paul, is hereby authorized and directed to submit the 2008 Consolidated Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in such form as prescribed by the regulations of said Department; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor or his designated representatives, PED Grants Management staff, are further authorized to submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development any assurances, certifications, technical changes or additional information that may be required by said Department during their review of the City's 2008 Submission for Federal Assistance; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that upon notification of approval of the Gity of Saint Paul's 20�8 CDBG, ESG, and HOME Programs by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Council does hereby authorize the proper City officials to execute the grant agreements and contracts between the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Saint Paul for the 2008 Programs; and be it Gb�3aC� 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50 51 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 61 FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proposed financing forthe 2008 HUD Programs is provided in the foilowing manner: 2008 HUD Resources: 2008 CDBG Entitlement 2008 ESG Funding 2008 HOME Funding 2008 ADDI �unding CDBG Program Income Total and be it $ 7,941,344 354,415 2,202,444 17,438 2,058,656 $ 12,574,297 FINALLY RESOLVED, that the projects and activities to be financed through the HOME and ESG programs will be selected through separate processes, and will come before the Mayor and City Council at a future date.
