3 Whereas, a nationwide search was conducted for the vacant senior policy analyst position; and

5 Whereas, phone interviews were initially conducted to determine whether any out-of-state candidate
6 should be considered a semi-finalist; and

8 Whereas, one candidate from Texas was considered a semi-finalist and asked to come to Saint Paul for a
9 final interview; now therefore

11 Be it resolved, that the Saint Paul City Council authorizes the proper city officials to reimburse this
12 candidate for transportation and lodging costs as appropriate.
