WHEREAS , William R. Swiger, an employee of the Bureau of �
Police of the Department of �ublic Saf ety, was injured in the course j
of his employment on June 12, 1961, in a thi:rd party accident , �
when an object fell from the window of The Dayton Company - '
Schuneman' s store in the City of Saint Faul, striking said
employee; and
1NHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul has expended $10.00
in medical expense for said employee on account of said accident `
and has paid him $141.26 in s.alary dUring the time he was disabled '
because of said accident ; and �
; �WHEREAS, an offer of settlement on behalf of Dayton
Company-Schunemen' s has been made in the tota]. amount of $800.00, I
and through employee's attorney the City is offered half its �
subrogation interest or $75.63 less attorney's fee of $25;.21, �
leaving a balance of $50.42, now, therefore, be it ;

RFSOLVED, That the proper City officers are hereby �
authorized to accept, in f ull settlement of its subrogation �
claim in connection with the injury`of its employee, William R."
Swiger, on June 12, 1961 in said third partq accident, the sum �'
of $75.63 less attorney' s. f ee of $., 25J21, or $50�42;__be it • - • �

FURTHER RESOLVED, That of said net settlement of $50.42,
the sun of $10.00 be credited to the Workmen's Compensation Fund, i
and the balance of $40.42 be credited to Fund 7-C-1; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the proper City officers are
hereby authorized to execute any .necessary releases in connection
with this settlement.�
