RESOLVEA, by the Council of t�e City of Satnt F�aul, upon
, recommendation of Severin A. Mortinson, Commissioner of Libraries,
Auditoriiun, Museums and Stadia, and p�suant to City Ordinance
pertairiing to rental of Midway Stadium, said stadium shall be
rented to the Vikings, a corporation, sub,�ect to the following
terms, condition's' and provisions:
� Midway Stadi�a may be used as a practice field for the
����tiA Wikings for the period from September 5 �hrough December 3,
� 1961. The Vikings are to pay f or the cost of all utilities,
electricity and ga� for hea�icsg ar�d water used by the Viking�
during the af oresaid rental period. - The Vikin,gs �hall also be
responsible to pay for all help necessary to maintain the -
Stadi�n durir�g their practice sessions during the above described
rental period, and this shall incl�de the salary of two perraanent �• -
caretakers during the aforesaid rental period. The Vikings��
shall, as a coridition of this agreement with the City, vacate and
. make room in the locker room f or the ,use of high school players ' �
in connection with high school games contracted for at the �� S-
Stadit�n. Fi�ally, the Vikings shall submit to the City of
Saint Paul, through the Co�missioner of Libraries, Auditori�n, �
Museuns and Stadia. evidence of public liability insurance . �
policy as well as evidence of workments campensati'on iasurance-
policy_wt�ich they agree to maintain in eff ect during the af ore-
said"`rental period; and f urther, the �Jikings agree as a condition
of this rental arrangement to indemnify and �ave harmless the r'

Please pardon the long delay in responding to your letter
of September 18.
Attached is the executed City Council resolution C.F. 203960
together with the statement from our insurance carrier that
we do hold the necessary policies with which you were concerned.
If you will note I have made one change in the resolution and
�nitialed same. Namely, that our practice session will continue
through December 16 rather than December 3.
� May I extend on behalf of the Vikings our sincere thanks to the
Council and the Mayor for making it possible for the Minnesota
Vikings Football Club to avail themselves of the ,Midway Stadium
facilities for their 1961 practice sessions.
